Cardiac Holter Monitor
A Cardiac Holter Monitor is a device used in medicine and Cardiology to record the heart’s electrical activity over a period of 24, 48 hours. At REMD, we install an m-health Holter recorder which gives us 3 channels of data. The recording is then interpreted by a Registered Cardiology Technologist to evaluate and define heart rhythm, rate and any ECG abnormalities. A final report is then confirmed by a Cardiologist.
Electrocardiogram
REMD can perform an Electrocardiogram in the comfort of our clinic. We offer cardiology testing, Electrocardiogram at rest and even a Cardiac Stress test.
Electrocardiography (ECG or EKG*) is the process of recording the electrical activity of the heart over a period of time. We place electrodes placed on the skin to detect the tiny electrical changes that arise from the heart muscle’s action during each heartbeat. It is a very commonly performed cardiology test.
Note
Appointments with consultants (women’s health) requires a deposit by credit card. In case of cancellation less than 48 hours, the amount will be charged without reimbursement.
